Best foam roller exercises
We’ve finally gotten around to posting some of our best foam roller exercises (after some pestering) for lower extremity problems like IT Band Syndrome and plantar fasciitis. Personally, I think using a foam roller on a regular basis is one of the best preventive activities that an athlete can do.
If you’re looking for what I think is the best foam roller out on the market right now, then check out the GRID foam roller from Trigger Point Therapy. It’s a pretty cool redesign on the traditional foam roller. The GRID foam roller is pretty compact, durable and has a few cool features like different sized foam squares that give different amounts on pressure when using the foam roller.

I own a GRID roller myself, but after using it, I’m not that impressed by it. It’s too short (about 13″ long) for performing some movements, and I really can’t feel the difference in pressure between the different areas on its surface. My new favorite is the RumbleRoller (www.rumbleroller.com). It digs deeper into thickly muscled areas of the body, and gets to spots that no other roller can touch.
