San Diego sports medicine doctor John Martinez discusses sports medicine, sports injury and other relevant topics to triathletes and other endurance athletes on his TriathlonDoctor.com podcasts.

Dr John Martinez, M.D. is a San Diego-area primary care sports medicine physician and he is currently part of the USA Triathlon medical staff that helps support USA Triathlon’s elite athlete program by providing on-site medical care at ITU World Cup Series triathlon races. He has has been part of the USA Triathlon Team USA medical staff that travels with the USA Triathlon age group team to the triathlon and duathlon World Championship races. Dr. Martinez is currently part of the “charge docs” team for the Hawaiian Ironman Triathlon and has been part of the volunteer medical staff in Kona since 1999. He is a two-time guest speaker at the Ironman Sports Medicine conference.

Dr Martinez is also the local San Diego medical coordinator for the AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour and the medical director of the Carlsbad Marathon in Carlsbad, California.
